1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Theron, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Theron. By accepting these Terms, you confirm you are 18 or older.
2. Service Description
Theron provides nutrition and workout tracking tools, including:
- Manual and AI-assisted food logging and macro tracking
- Workout session logging
- AI-powered nutrition and fitness insights
- Goal setting and progress analytics
- Professional tools for gym owners and nutritionists (Peak plan)
All AI features provide informational insights only — they are not medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations.

Theron is not a medical device. The app, its AI features, and all content within are for informational and educational purposes only.
AI food scan and macro calculations are not medical advice. Calorie and macro targets are estimates based on user-provided data using standard fitness formulas. Individual results vary.
You must consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet or exercise routine — especially if you have a medical condition, eating disorder, are pregnant, nursing, or taking medication.
Theron is not liable for any health outcomes, injuries, or adverse effects resulting from use of the app or its recommendations.
4. User Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You must provide accurate information during registration and onboarding
- One account per person — you may not share accounts
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@theronapp.com if you suspect unauthorized access
5. Subscriptions and Billing

Free Trial
New users receive a 7-day free trial. No credit card is required to start. One trial per user. The trial automatically converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months, except where required by applicable law (EU Consumer Rights Directive).
Platform Billing
Subscriptions on iOS are managed via Apple App Store. Android subscriptions via Google Play. Web subscriptions via Stripe. Each platform's refund and billing policies also apply.
Price Changes
We will notify you at least 30 days in advance of any price changes via email and in-app notification.
6. User Content and Data
You own your health data. By using Theron, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your data solely to provide the service as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
7. AI Features
- AI food recognition is approximate — accuracy depends on image quality and food complexity. Always verify with nutritional labels for critical dietary decisions
- AI insights are informational only and not a substitute for professional nutritional or medical advice
- We use OpenAI API to power AI features. OpenAI does not use your data to train its models
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Use automated scripts or bots to access the app
- Use Theron for commercial purposes without written permission
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
- Use the app in any way that violates applicable law
9. Intellectual Property
The Theron name, logo, app design, and all content are owned by Theron and protected by applicable intellectual property law. Open source components retain their original licences.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Greek and EU law, Theron is not liable for:
- Data loss or corruption
- Health outcomes or injuries resulting from use of the app
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Service interruptions or errors
Our maximum liability in any case is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the 12 months prior to the claim.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by Greek law. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the use of Theron shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece.
EU residents may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. Upon termination, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email and in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of Theron after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
